The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) today announced student Dylan Johnson from Checotah, has been selected to become a member of the esteemed organization. The Society recognizes top scholars who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship, and community commitment. The announcement was made by NSHSS Co-founder and President James W. Lewis.
Dylan Johnson is a dedicated student at Checotah High School, where he has been recognized for his superior academic achievement by the National Society of High School Scholars. He is a proud member of the National Hon- or Society and participates in the Checotah High School Wrestling Club. In addition to wrestling, Dylan has previously participated in golf and FFA, showcasing his diverse interests in school activities. Dylan was also selected to by the American Legion this year for Boys State 2025.
He balances his academic pursuits with a part-time job at the Boat Doctor and is actively engaged in concurrent enrollment through the University of Oklahoma for Fall and Spring of 2025. Dylan plans to further his education at the University of Oklahoma while also serving his country, having recently enlisted in the Air Force Reserves.
