LEA hosts Annual Golf Tournament

The Lake Eufaula Association held its annual Golf Tournament on Friday, September 26 at the beautiful Arrowhead Golf Course, and it was a huge success from start to finish.

The day’s winners were:

• 1st Place: Noah McClish & Justin Venable • 2nd Place: John Wayne Duke & Cody Jennings

• Closest to the Pin: Thomas Cummings • Longest Drive: Nathan Mullins

• 50/50 Winner: Noah McClish, taking home $237

• Worst Score: Scott Vaughn & his partner, who earned the title with good humor!

A very special thank you goes out to Arrowhead Golf Course for graciously hosting this year’s tournament.

Door Prizes Dozens of local businesses donated door prizes, including El Jaracho, True Value, Sam Wampler’s Freedom Ford, TrustMark Title, Creek Nation Casino, Lake House Sushi, Sharpes, Fox Place, Tulip & Table, Montgomery Massage, Crystal Cactus, O’Reilly’s, Belle Starr, Linda’s Lakeside Diner, and Sammy’s Surf Shop.

Volunteers & Support The tournament ran smoothly thanks to the help of dedicated volunteers: Patty McAllister, Christi Nance, Dustin Blurton, Rachell Jones, Evelyn Gulley, Holly Lackey and friend, Amber Singleton, Chris McCoin, Sean McAllister, and Conner McAllister. From setup to registration, watching holes, selling raffle tickets, taking photos, and serving lunch, their support was invaluable.

A special thank you also goes to Dixon Golf for providing extra hole games, and to the LEA Board of Directors for their continued support.

Finally, Executive Director Rhonda Adams recognized the hard work of Sales & Marketing Director Kelly Blurton, calling her a “rock star” for going above and beyond to make the event such a success.

“This tournament was truly amazing because of our sponsors, volunteers, and especially our participants,” said Adams. “We couldn’t have done it without you.”
