EOSC announces 2025 Alumni Hall of Fame Inductees

WILBURTON – Eastern Oklahoma State College has announced three new inductees into its Alumni Hall of Fame: Dr. Fern Green-Bowling (Class of 1960), Martin Tucker (Class of 1983), and his father, the late Fred Tucker (Class of 1956).

The induction ceremony will be held Friday, Nov. 14, at 6 p.m. in the E.E. Tourtellotte Student Center Ballroom on Eastern’s Wilburton campus in conjunction with the college’s homecoming festivities.

Dr. Fern Green-Bowling (Class of 1960)

Dr. Green-Bowling built a distinguished career dedicated to education, opportunity, and economic development in Oklahoma. She held leadership roles with the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technical Education, the Oklahoma Council on Vocational Education, and helped establish Rural Enterprises Oklahoma, which continues to serve communities today. She was inducted into the Oklahoma CareerTech Hall of Fame in 2017.

Martin Tucker (Class of 1983)

Martin Tucker currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, guiding the nation’s financial strategy and stewardship. He is also the mayor of Durant and a member of the U.S. Treasury Tribal Advisory Committee. A retired lieutenant colonel with the Oklahoma National Guard, Tucker served 30 years, including a deployment to Afghanistan, and was awarded the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, and Combat Infantryman’s Badge.

Fred Tucker (Class of 1956, inducted posthumously)

Fred Tucker was the founding executive director of Little Dixie Community Action Agency, Inc. (now LIFT Community Action Agency, Inc.). During his 25 years of leadership, the organization grew from just a handful of programs to more than 20, providing vital resources across Choctaw, Pushmataha and McCurtain counties. His vision and dedication helped reduce poverty in the region. His legacy is honored each year through the statewide Fred Tucker Award for Excellence and Longevity.

Together, Martin and Fred Tucker will be the first fatherson duo inducted into Eastern’s Alumni Hall of Fame.

“The Alumni Hall of Fame celebrates graduates who have distinguished themselves through professional achievements and service to their communities,” said Dr. Randy Harp, EOSC president. “Dr. Green-Bowling, Fred Tucker and Martin Tucker are powerful examples of how Eastern alumni change lives far beyond our campus. Their leadership and service reflect the very best of Eastern, and we are proud to honor them.”
