Arkansas has its new leader — and it’s one of the hottest names in college football. Ryan Silverfield, the architect behind Memphis’ explosive rise, has been hired as the Razorbacks’ 35th head coach.
Silverfield turned Memphis into a scoring machine and a consistent winner, going 5025 with six straight bowl trips, back-to-back 10-win seasons, and 29 victories in the last three years — a mark that ranks among the nation’s Top 15. His offenses were electric, averaging 30+ points every season, and finishing in the Top 20 nationally in scoring for three straight years, a feat matched by only Notre Dame, Oregon, Ole Miss and Texas State.
Under his watch, the Tigers surged into national polls, cracked the CFP Top 25, and delivered signature wins — including snapping Tulane’s 17game conference streak and winning the Frisco Bowl and Liberty Bowl.
Silverfield, a two-time Tennessee Sports Writers Association Coach of the Year, brings a proven winning pedigree, an elite offensive mind, and a relentless edge to Fayetteville.
His final Tigers team also extended the program’s streak to 12 straight bowl appearances – the longest streak among non-Power 4 programs in the nation.
