Holiday antlerless deer gun season is Dec. 18-31, during which hunters are allowed to harvest up to two antlerless white-tailed deer that do not count toward the hunter’s combined season limit of six deer. Annual hunting license holders need a deer gun license to participate. Deer gun licenses obtained for the regular deer gun season are still valid for the holiday antlerless deer season. Youth under 18 years old need a youth annual superhunting license.
Though it went into effect in July of 2024, the impact of the Wildlife License Modernization Act is still reverberating today for annual hunting license holders who formerly had to have both a hunting license and a deer license for every individual deer hunted. The Act condensed some 50 Oklahoma hunting and fishing licenses down to about 14 while resulting in increased hunting opportunities and conservation funding.
Those who haven’t yet purchased hunting or deer licenses for 2025 can do so by logging into or creating a Go Outdoors Oklahoma online profile.
