The relationship between a high school coach and the area journalist should be a close knit one. After all, if the coach doesn’t pass on information about their teams, the journalist cannot write about it. Fortunately for me, I have a great relationship with our area coaches. Ours is a relationship of spending time on the phone or sending information by email. Sometimes coaches get so busy that they need to be reminded of certain tasks.
