The Eastern Oklahoma Development District (EODD) Area Agency Aging urges citizens to become involved and attend this year’s Senior Day at the Capitol. This day is held to provide discussion and address issues affecting older adults in Oklahoma communities. Area Agency on Aging (AAA) provides resources or referrals for older persons age 60 and older in designated planning and service areas. Federal, state and local funds are distributed under the Older Americans Act of 1965. The increase in Baby Boomers becoming eligible for such services puts a strain on available funding. To continue to provide such services to all eligible participants, this day can provide a stage for these issues to be heard.
