A winter storm that felt more like an arctic blast slammed locals and most of the U.S. Though it wasn’t fit for man nor beast in the frigid temperatures local children made the most of it with their snow days out of school sledding and playing in the largest snowfall the county had seen in a while, as livestock sought shelter from the wicked wind if it could be found.
