New Football Classifications for the upcoming 2026-2027 Football Seasons

Notable Proposed Changes are summarized below.

Class 6A-1: 16 Teams Norman drops from 6A-1 to 6A-2. Southmoore bumps up from 6A-2 to 6A-1. Class 6A-2: 16 Teams Booker T Washington moves up from 5A to 6A2.

Class 5A: 32 Teams Elgin and Glenpool move up from 4A to 5A. Sapulpa drops from 6A-2 to 5A. Class 4A: 32 Teams Cleveland moves up from 3A to 4A. John Marshall moves down from 5A to 4A. Mannford moves up from 3A to 4A. Western Heights moves down from 5A to 4A. Class 3A: 32 Teams Catoosa drops from 4A to 3A. Daniel Webster moves up from 2A-1 to 3A. Jones moves up from 2A-1 to 3A. Madill drops from 4A to 3A. Marlow moves up from 2A-1 to 3A. Metro Christian moves up from 2A-1 to 3A. Mount St. Mary moves up from 2A-1 to 3A. Oklahoma Christian moves up from 2A-1 to 3A. Class 2A-1: 32 Teams Anadarko drops down from 3A to 2A-1. Casady moves up from 2A-2 to 2A-1. Checotah drops down from 3A to 2A-1. Eufaula drops down from 3A to 2A-1. Henryetta moves up from 2A-2 to 2A-1. Rejoice Christian moves up from A-1 to 2A-1. Sequoyah Claremore drops from 3A to 2A-1. Spiro moves up from 2A-2 to 2A-1. Stigler moves down from 3A to 2A-1. Victory Christian drops down from 3A to 2A-1. Class 2A-2: 32 Teams Cashion moves up from A-1 to 2A-2. Chouteau Mazie moves up from A-1 to 2A-2. Christian Heritage moves up from A-1 to 2A-2.
