Checotah receives new 5G communications tower

A new Diamond Communications tower now stands above the City of Checotah to provide 5G cell phone service for the community and can be used in coordination with the emergency response system at Checotah City Hall, which Mayor Daniel Tarkington stated that the city did reserve a spot on the tower for possible future use.
