Sun rises on students as prayers go up

The sun rose at 6:38 a.m. on August 12 on several Checotah High School seniors on the high school football field. The traditional Senior Sunrise began with donuts, juice and milk, but ended with tickets for free specialty coffee offered by The Perk to get the seniors up and running for their first day of classes.
