A Eufaula policeman stopped traffic at Main Street and Foley Avenue Thursday, Aug. 19, as law enforcement officers from around the county escorted the late OHP Trooper Carl Douglas Meineke, 77, of Eufaula, to his final resting place in Morris. The long-time trooper, who died Aug. 14, was born in Morris. He spent most of his career in McIntosh County. Services were held at the Eufaula First Baptist Church. STAFF PHOTO
