Callie Mae Cox, aka ?Miss Mae,? had lots of dreams to reach for when she graduated from Checotah High School in 2017. But when she finished up this past May with her Bachelors in Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Oklahoma, she really thought she might take a little time off for herself. However, with the shortage of teachers in Oklahoma, duty called quite quickly for her to come back to her local community and teach.
