DEATH NOTICES

BEGGS – Gloria Jean Pendley, 82, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023 at her home. A graveside service was held Saturday, September 16 at Hanna Cemetery.

CHECOTAH – Patricia “Pat” Marie Threet Hale, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 11, 2023. . A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 30 at 2PM at Serenity Chapel of Garrett Family Funeral Home.

PORUM – Robert Dean Heffley, 75, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at his home in Porum, OK. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 23 at 2019 Lona Ave.m, Seminole, OK.

WILBAUX, MT – Lynn Jerrett “Jerry” McCormick, 70, passed away September 9, 2023. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 20 at the Wibaux County Fairgrounds in Wilbaux, MT.

QUINTON – Carolyn Diann Quinton, 64, passed away at her home on September 9, 2023. Graveside services were held Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Quinton Cemetery.

KEOTA – Rebecca Lynn Ross Hendrix, 39, passed away on September 11, 2023 at her home on Beaver Mountain. A funeral service was held September 14 at Whitefield Baptist Church.

CHECOTAH – Sheila Ann Chandler, 61, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023. A funeral service was held Friday, September 15 at First Free Will Baptist Church.

BAKERSFIELD, CA- Eula Mae Hambrick-Lawhorn,

86, formerly of Checotah, passed away September 11, 2023 in Bakersfield, CA. Services will be held Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. at Basham Funeral Home in Bakersfield, CA and a graveside service will follow at the Bakersfield National Cemetery.

HENRIETTA, TX – Marion Ray Jones, 80, formerly of Hanna, entered heaven’s gates on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Funeral services were held Friday, September 15 in the Serenity Chapel of Garrett Funeral Home in Checotah.

CHECOTAH – Dorothy Coleman, 96, entered heaven’s gates on Friday, September 15, 2023, in Muskogee, OK. Services are pending for Dorothy. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 22 at 1PM at First Baptist Church.
