EUFAULA – Richard Denver “Rick” McConnell, 71, died Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at his home in Eufaula, OK.

EUFAULA – James Audrevon Caldwell, 77, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023. No services planned at this time.

CHECOTAH – Larry Harlan Whitlock, 75, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023. Services were held Tuesday, November 14 at Kelley Memorial Chapel in Eufaula, OK.

MUSKOGEE – Joseph “Joe” Hill, 38, transitioned from Earth to Everlasting Memory on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from his home in Muskogee, OK. Service arrangements are pending in the Muskogee Chapel at this time.

EUFAULA – Patsy Lee Langley, 70, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023, at her home in Eufaula, OK. A Friends and Family Gathering took place on November 18 at Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory in Eufaula.

EUFAULA – Ronald Dale Oliver, 81, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023, at his home in

Eufaula, OK. A memorial service was held Saturday, November 18 at Texanna Assembly of God.

CHECOTAH – Dianna Lynn Cantrell, 76, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023. No services scheduled at this time.

BOYNTON – Larry LaMarcus Bird, 39, transitioned to life everlasting on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from Midwest City, OK. Services were held Saturday, November 25 at Phyllis Wheatley Community Center, Boynton, OK.

CHECOTAH – Tutter Bert Hale, Sr., 52, gained his wings on Friday, November 17, 2023, surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Tutter’s Life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, December 2 at Checotah Indian Community, 500 Owens Ave., Checotah, OK.

CHECOTAH – Joyce Carleta Shoemake, 90, a former Checotah resident, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, November 18, 2023, in Tulsa at Porta Caeli House. Services were held Wednesday, November 22 in the Chapel of Garrett Funeral Home, Broken Arrow, OK and interment was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Checotah.

MUSKOGEE – James Edward Needham, 66, passed away on November 19, 2023. Funeral services were held November 22 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home. Interment followed at Greenlawn Cemetery in Checotah, OK.

CHECOTAH – Thomas Elzie Lewis, 71, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, in Muskogee, OK. A private family memorial service will be held in Duncan, OK at a later date.

BOYNTON – Terri Kaye Dorsey, 57, passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, November 20, 2023. Services were held Saturday, November 25 at Elm Grove Baptist Church in Council Hill, OK.

WARNER – Jack Yochum, 71, passed away Monday, November 20, 2023 in Tulsa, OK. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 30 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.

MCALESTER – Ronnie Lee Romine, 79, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, in Tulsa. A graveside service was held Saturday, November 25 at Choate Prairie Cemetery in Indianola, OK.

EUFAULA – Betty Nadine Bumgarner, 79, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the St. Francis Hospital of Muskogee. A Friends and Family Gathering was held Wednesday, November 29 at Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory,Eufaula, OK.
