GOP precincts to meet

It is time for McIntosh County GOP precinct meetings! The meeting will be at the United Federated Church of Checotah located at 419 W. Gentry Ave. on Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m.

The county convention will be on Feb. 20 at the same time and location.

In order to participate in the county convention, you must attend your precinct meeting, so please come meet your neighbors.

All registered Republican voters are welcome and we hope to see lots of new faces — our government only works when we are all engaged at the precinct level. It’s important to have your voice in the conversation, so please gather your friends, your family, and your church members so that you can make a difference in McIntosh County.

Nothing is required but you and your voter registration card, no prior experience necessary (this has nothing to do with the election board).

We will have light refreshments but most of all we will be taking an active part in the process that our founding fathers built for “We the People” and all of us will learn and grow together. See you there!

On March 19, we will have Charles Key, former Oklahoma state legislator who will be speaking about his book, “Stolen Government.”

You will not want to miss this meeting. Last, but not least, on April 20, we will have our first annual Golf Scramble with lots of legislative candidates on hand to meet YOU so get your team together and get ready to win some big prizes!
