The Stidham Redhawks did it again as they added another state championship to their trophy case. Head coach Dane Yandell has continued to build a basketball dynasty at Stidham. Yandell led Stidham to a 49-21 victory in the championship game after rolling over Shady Grove 5527 in the semifinals.
“Winning the state championship is a goal that takes a tremendous amount of commitment, hard work and dedication. Stidham School prides itself in working hard from an early age to develop players that can perform at a high level. This championship is a reflection of just that.
These boys have put in countless hours of practice and hard work. I am extremely proud of them. It’s a great day to be a Redhawk,” Head coach Dane Yandell said. This is Yandell’s eighth year as head coach and his fourth State Championship at Stidham.
Other accolades included three players named to the All-Tourfrom nament team in Tandon Yandell and Luke Lambert and voted most valuable player was Thadan Yandell. Ashtyn Harjo was named to the Girls All-Tournament team.
