DEATH NOTICES

WARNER – Wanda Faye Shanks, 84, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A memorial service for Wanda will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2024 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 419700 US-266, Checotah, OK.

CHECOTAH – Walter Crawford “WC” Allmond, 99, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024. Graveside services were held Tuesday, December 31 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK.

CHECOTAH – Ronald “Ron” David Harvey, 63, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024.

EUFAULA – Gregory L. Poole, 81, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on December 29, 2024. Family Conducted Memorial Service was held Friday, January 3, 2025 at the Bridgeport Dunes Community Clubhouse in Eufaula, OK.

CLAYTON – Jaden Christian Jackson, 26, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024. A funeral service was held Friday, January 3 at Artussee Indian Church in Eufaula, OK .

CHECOTAH – Tommy “T.J.” Joe Davis, 58, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 at his home in Checotah, OK. Graveside Services for T.J. were held on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Davis Acres Family Cemetery in Checotah, OK.

EUFAULA – Theresa Carol (Shaver) Andrews, 59, passed away at her home in Eufaula, OK, on Monday, Dec. 30, 2024. A memorial service was held 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 6 at the Kelley Memorial Chapel.

COUNCIL HILL – Kelly Sue (Bunch) McNac, 64, died on Monday, December 30, 2024, in St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee, OK. Kelly’s celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, in the Midway High School Old Gymnasium.

EUFAULA – Eldon Dwayne Loftin, 64, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at his home in Eufaula, OK. No service scheduled at this time.

MUSKOGEE – Louella Fay Halford, 79, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Interment for Louella took place on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Mellett Cemetery in McIntosh County.

TULSA – Isaac William Downum, 79, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at his home in Tulsa, OK surrounded by his family and loved ones. A memorial service was held Tuesday, January 7 at Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory in Eufaula, OK.

CHECOTAH – John William Dunback, 79, passed away at his home in Checotah, OK, on Friday, January 3, 2025. A private family conducted memorial service will be held at a later date.

CHECOTAH – Ahdrian Nicketa, 45, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
