Anthony Robb announces candidacy for city council

Anthony Robb officially announces his candidacy for City Council Member Ward 2.

Robb is a lifelong resident of Checotah. He graduated from Checotah High School as a Wildcat and his support for the Checotah community has never wavered.

Robb has worked for a local telephone company for over 25 years as a Communication Technician. He is also a small business owner, operating a lawn mowing service that he takes great pride in servicing the community’s lawn needs. He says of the work, “The work conditions can be hard during the summer months, but it is worth it to help our customers maintain their yards at the highest standards.”

Robb has also volunteered as a coach for several youth sports’ teams and has been a volunteer firefighter over the years.

His customer service standard, very strong work ethic and sense of community are virtues he plans to utilize if given the opportunity to represent the City of Checotah as a councilman.

A few important issues Robb would like to address if elected are:

• Improved government transparency and awareness • Economic development and job creation

• Downtown preservation and small business support

• City infrastructure and affordable housing options

• Enhancement of public safety and emergency services “Checotah is home to me, my family and many friends. I would love to see the City of Checotah prosper and grow while maintaining the smalltown environment I have always loved. Checotah has some of the most amazing people and I would be honored to represent them as a council member and voice their concerns.”

Stay connected with updates on Robb’s campaign via his Facebook page Anthony Robb for Checotah City Council and by email at anthonyrobbforcitycouncil@ yahoo. com.

Residents of Checotah will have the opportunity to elect Anthony Robb for City Councilman Ward 2 on April 1, 2025. All residents are allowed to place a vote for each councilperson in every ward, not just their own ward. Make sure your vote does not go unheard.
