Rachel Lenee Stewart

July 8, 1993 – May 27, 2025

“…Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” – Psalm 30:5 With heavy yet hopeful hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Rachel Lenee Stewart, 31, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, who went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in Checotah, Oklahoma.

Rachel was a beautiful soul, born the baby of the family, on July 8, 1993, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to Roger Lynn Stewart and Marsha Renee (Edwards) Stewart.

From a very tender age, Rachel loved to sing with her daddy and was known to belt out multiple genres of songs. Later she used her Godgiven talent to express her artistic side and show her true soulful and sassy self. Her radiant spirit touched everyone she met and her infectious laughter filled every room. She loved to dance and entertain those around her and her kindness was seen by everyone who knew her.

Rachel graduated from Eufaula High School in 2011 and went on to become a gifted florist that poured her heart into creating unique and captivating arrangements for clients, family and close friends.

Rachel was particularly happy to be around all of her family, especially on holidays. One of her favorite holidays was the Fourth of July because it was so close to her birthday. She would jokingly say everyone was really celebrating her.

Her positive energy, strong loyalty and sense of adventure brought her significant friendships that she cherished every day of her life. However, her greatest accomplishment and treasure was her son, Jeremiah, whom she affectionately called “Miah.” He was truly the love of her life.

Though Rachel’s time on this earth seemed much too short, her love of life has inspired her family and friends to hold onto their faith and rest in the goodness of God even when walking through the darkest valley.

Though we mourn her loss, we celebrate the life she lived and the legacy she leaves behind.

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?…For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:35-39 Rachel Lenee is survived by her beloved son, Jeremiah Casey Sears of the home; her mother, Renee Stewart of Eufaula; and her brothers, Roger Glen Stewart of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and Joseph Darren Stewart and wife Tiffany of Muskogee. She leaves behind her aunt, Leslie Gail Edwards of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; her cherished nephew and niece, Noah Wylee Stewart and Shaylee Faith Stewart of Muskogee, Oklahoma; her great aunt, Rhea Parish and husband John of Eufaula; her uncle Junior Stewart and wife Jane of Checotah along with many cousins whom she loved dearly. She also leaves behind special family friends, Peggy Mantheiy of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, LaDonna Rhodes of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Zachary Sears of McAlester, Oklahoma and so many more.

Rachel is preceded in death by her great grandparents, Eunice and Estel Burns; her grandparents, Melba and Glen Edwards and Birdie and Claude Stewart; and her father, Roger Stewart.

A private family viewing was held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory in Eufaula.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Lighthouse Christian Center with Pastor John Parish officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Online condolences may be left at www.hbnfuneralhome. com.
