Mildred Louise Alley, 90, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025.
She was born May 7, 1935, in Checotah, Oklahoma, the daughter of Clifton Smallwood and Zora Mae (Stevens) Smallwood.
Mildred graduated from Checotah High School in 1953.
She married Paul Raymond Alley on October 23, 1953, in Shady Grove, Oklahoma. They were happily married for 53 years. Paul preceded Mildred in death on October 19, 2006.
Mildred worked for White Stag as a line supervisor for 35 years retiring in 1997. After her retirement, she became a gatekeeper and farming wife.
Mildred was of the First Freewill Baptist faith. She enjoyed Word Search and Sudoku puzzle books as well as flower and vegetable gardening.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanette Mc-Grew and her husband, John of Checotah; her granddaughter, Chelsey Cook and her husband, Steven of Oktaha; her brother, James Smallwood of Checotah; her sister, Helen Dowdy of Checotah and numerous other family and friends.
Her spouse, Paul Alley and her parents, Clifton and Zora Smallwood, preceded her in death.
Viewing for Mildred will be from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 and Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Hunn Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Checotah, Oklahoma. Interment will follow.
