DEATH NOTICES

CHECOTAH – Kenneth Prater, 68, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 17, 2025, in Tulsa, OK. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 21at the First Baptist Church of Checotah.

CHECOTAH – Shirley Jean Crupper, 90, passed from this life on Thursday, August 14, 2025. A graveside service was held Monday, August 18 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee, OK.

COUNCIL HILL – Shannon McGinnis Horsley, 39, passed away peacefully in the early morning on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at her home, surrounded by loving family. A memorial services was held Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Midway School Gymnasium.

EUFAULA – Joseph Nocona Long, 34, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 in Eufaula, OK. No service scheduled at this time.

EUFAULA – James Edward Segree, 66, passed away August 12, 2025. Service is pending.

COUNCIL HILL – Patrick David Weller, 50, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 in Checotah, OK. No service scheduled at this time.

FT. SMITH, AR -Thomas Lee Buie, 75, formerly of Eufaula, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025. A funeral service was held Thursday, August 14, 2025 at the Okfuskee Indian Baptist Church.

EUFAULA – Alice Laverne Gilbreath, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 10, 2025. A memorial service celebrating the life of Laverne was held Friday, August 15, at Lighthouse Christian Center in Eufaula, OK.

WARNER –Patricia LaNell Duke, 67, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. The family will conduct their own Celebration of Life for Patricia at a later date.

EUFAULA – Sheri Lynne (Scott-Harris) Wiggins, 58, passed from this life on Friday, August 8, 2025 at her home. No service at this time.

MELLETTE – Wilma Dean (Martin) Burns, 88, formerly of Mellette Oklahoma, passed from this life on Friday, August 8, 2025 in Eufaula, OK surrounded by family. A funeral service will be held Friday, August 15 at 1 p.m.at Eufaula First Church of God.

MUSKOGEE – Judy Diane Flud, 82, loving mother, doting grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2025. A graveside service was held Wednesday, August 6 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee, OK.
