Eufaula street work continues

The Main Street project (SH 9) by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation in Eufaula is expected to continue through the first week in December.

An ODOT spokesman said the downtown section of the project is expected to start mid-November.

The driving surface is being rehabilitated and repaved with new asphalt. New curb-and gutter sections will be added, and some existing portions will be reconstructed to improve drainage, according to ODOT.

The parking spaces, crosswalks, ramps, and warning lights will be updated to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
