October Checotah City Council Meeting Updates

Mayor Daniel Tarkington called the meeting to order with the following council members present: Councilman Mike Key, Councilman Tony Fields, Councilman Joey Marion, Councilman Ronnie Brinsfield, Councilman Jay Hayes, Councilman Rusty Rogers, Councilwoman Jodi Greenleaf, and Councilman Rusty Beaver.

Consent Docket was approved of the following: A. Approval of Minutes from September 8, 2025, Regular Meeting and Departmental Reports Special Meeting of the Checotah City Council.

B. Approval of Salaries for September 2025 of $166,955.39.

C. Approval of Estimated Salaries for October 2025 of $175,000.00.

D. Approval of Claims for September 2025 of $348,464.64.

E. Approval of claim to Public Consulting Group, LLC. in the amount of $9,959.77, that was removed from the Consent Docket last month.

Scheduled Business Council approved the following:

• Disbursement Request #2 for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) in the amount of $263,024.65.

• Pay Application #7-Final to Lonehickory Cattle, LLC in the amount of $380,089.65 for Water System Improvements

• Invoice #22314918 to Myers Engineering, Consulting Engineers, Inc. in the amount of $1200 for Water System Improvements

• Invoice #2222767 to Myers Engineering, Consulting Engineers, Inc. in the amount of $14,655 for 2022 OWRB ARPA Wastewater System • Invoice #24025-08 $4,200; Invoice #2402509 $3,905; Invoice #24025-10 $1,680 to Cimarron Valley Engineering for Project CE24-025 Lift Station Improvements

• An amendment for disputes to be changed to McIntosh County to approve the agreement with Neighbors Building Neighborhoods (NBN), an Oklahoma nonprofit corporation, for grant writing services and the development of an application for a Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET) Built Environment Grant for Planning and Design in the amount up to $150,000 for downtown streetscapes and improvements • Terminate credit card services with Merchant Services and to move forward with Armstrong Bank

• Approve the REVISED proposal for Architectural/ Engineering Services for a “Hardened” 911 Facility with Martin Designs in the amount of $40,800 No action was taken on Quote #887 to Frazer, LTD, for ambulance repairs.
