Free Clothes Closet

A “Free Clothes Closet” is available for anyone in need — both kids and adults — at the 1st Freewill Baptist Church, located at 713 N. Broadway.

The closet is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Donations are accepted and appreciated.
Current needs include blankets, comforters, and coats.

Join the Chamber of Commerce General Meetings

The Checotah Chamber of Commerce General Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at noon.

Contact the Chamber office located at 114 N. Broadway for more information.
All Chamber members are encouraged to attend.

Heartland Heritage Museum & Gallery — Open to the Public

The Heartland Heritage Museum & Gallery is full of all kinds of history to include authentic Indian artifacts, legendary cowboy memorabilia, and country icons such as Checotah’s own Carrie Underwood.

Come by and tour everything the Heartland has to offer.

Hours:

Monday–Friday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Saturday: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Checotah Art Guild Looking for New Members

The Checotah Art Guild is always looking for new members. Members and visitors are encouraged to come on Open Art Days, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Texanna Lady Crafters Offer Handmade Gifts

The Texanna Lady Crafters’ Shop is a non-profit craft and gift store located on Texanna Road, 1 mile east of Highway 69, across from Dawn’s Place.

Open Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Stop by and shop for handmade gifts or take a photo in front of the Big Butterfly Board.

His Ability Ministries — Meets Monthly

His Ability Ministries meet at 6 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 401 N. Broadway, Checotah.

Come be a part of this ministry as God’s Word is shared while enjoying snacks, games, and crafts for all ages and abilities.

Least of These Food Ministry — Monthly Distribution

The Least of These Food Ministry offers free grocery distributions to anyone in Checotah or the surrounding area who struggles with food insecurity.

Participants must provide ID and proof of residency.
Distribution is held the third Friday of each month at 1 p.m. at the First Assembly of God, located at 401 N. Broadway.

Eufaula Indian Community Monthly Meetings

The Eufaula Indian Community meets on the last Thursday of every month at 800 Birkes Rd., Eufaula.

You will be notified of any changes, or you may call the EIC office at 918-617-7587 to confirm.

Quilt Guild Meets Wednesdays

The Piece Makers Quilt Guild of Eufaula is a guild that promotes interest in quilt making and other sewing projects.

Meetings are held at 1 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at the Pied Piper Pest Control building, located on the corner of 5th St. and Foley in Eufaula.

Anyone interested is welcome to join.

Under One Roof / SoonerCare Outreach

Join us the 4th Tuesday of every month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Under One Roof, 107 McKinley, Eufaula.

Services include help with:
Medicaid/SoonerCare, DHS Mobile Unit, Housing, Employment/School, Family Violence Prevention, Recovery, Free Cell Phones, Books, and Hygiene Items.

Hosted by Under One Roof and the McIntosh County Coalition for a Healthy Community.

Finding Hope

Finding Hope is a support group for loved ones who have been impacted by addiction.

Find education and inspiration during meetings on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month at 6:30 p.m. at North Fork Baptist Church.

McIntosh County Caregiver Support Group & Resources

Caregivers in McIntosh County who are supporting individuals aged 60 or older — or those aged 55 and older caring for a relative child under 18 — often face unique challenges.

The McIntosh County Caregiver Support Group invites caregivers to attend a monthly support and resource meeting at Under One Roof, 107 E. McKinley Ave., Eufaula.

Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
Connect with other caregivers and share experiences, information, and support services.
