DEATH NOTICES

EUFAULA – Genevieve Janice Johnson, 75, peacefully passed from this life on Monday, December 15, 2025 in Tecumseh, OK, surrounded by family. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 20 at 11 a.m. at Eufaula Church of Christ.

CHECOTAH – Ray Edwards Peckham, 77, a lifelong resident of Checotah, passed away at his home on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025. A memorial service will be held Friday, Dec. 19 at 10 a.m. at Hunn Funeral Chapel in Checotah, OK.

EUFAULA – Janet Elizabeth Casey, 82, peacefully passed away on December 12, 2025, in Tulsa, OK. A funeral service honoring Janet’s life was held on Tuesday, December 16 at the First Apostolic Church of Longtown.

CHECOTAH – Wanda Lee Andrews, 94, entered Heaven’s gate on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Services for Wanda were held Tuesday, Dec. 16 at First Free Will Baptist Church Checotah.

EUFAULA – Daniel O’Klock, 75, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. A memorial service was held Friday, December 12 at Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.

CHECOTAH – Barbara Maline (Crawford) Newton, former Checotah resident, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025, at her home in Dalton. Private family burial.

LONGTOWN – Wayne Edward Heyer, 85, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at his home in Longtown, OK. No services at this time.

EUFAULA – Dorothy Frances Green, 93, passed from this life on Monday, December 1, 2025 in Shawnee, OK, surrounded by family. No services listed.

EUFAULA – William Todd Caudle, 34, passed away on November 30, 2025, in Ada, Oklahoma. A family conducted memorial service was held Saturday, December 13 at Trinity Baptist Church in Ardmore.

QUINTON – Melissa Kelly Munoz, 61, peacefully passed from this life on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at home in Quinton surrounded by family. No service listed.

EUFAULA- Glen Micheal Elliott, 67, passed from this life on Sunday, November 23, 2025 in Kinta, OK. No services listed.

STIGLER – Cecil James “Jim” Hammersley, 82, peacefully passed away on November 22, 2025, at his home in Stigler, OK. No service listed.

CROWDER/ADA – Haskell Eugene Rhodes, 94, formerly of Crowder, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, November 21, the evening of his 94th birthday.

CHECOTAH – Frances Ruth Davis Plotner, entered her eternal home on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the age of 64. No services planned.
