OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond has added an accused murderer to his 10 Most Wanted list, an initiative to enlist the public’s help tracking down fugitives from justice.
On Dec. 7, Jenks police investigated an incident where a vehicle driven by Cazares struck and killed 25-year-old Eriyon Tecson. Cazares, who had a female passenger with him at the time, told police he accidentally hit Tecson when she unexpectedly stepped in front of the vehicle. Cazares reportedly had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol. He was arrested for manslaughter, but quickly released from custody after posting a $50,000 bond.
Shortly thereafter, surveillance video obtained by Jenks High School appeared to contradict his statements to police. The video showed Tecson walking toward Cazares’ vehicle when she was still a considerable distance away. Cazares drove into her, accelerated into her a second time, and crushed the victim beneath the vehicle. Cazares’ passenger also said she and Cazares had lied to law enforcement.
On Dec. 9, the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office charged Cazares with first degree murder. He failed to appear for arraignment.
Drummond said his office is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that directly leads to Cazares’ capture.
“I urge any individual with information on Cazares’ whereabouts to contact our agency,” he said. “Eriyon Tecson suffered a brutal and horrifying death. It is important that he be accountable for his alleged actions.”
The 10 Most Wanted list began in September 2024 to highlight violent fugitives and enlist the public’s help. Since the program’s launch, 17 fugitives accused of crimes such as murder, rape and drug trafficking have been apprehended. Learn more at the Attorney General’s 10 Most Wanted page.
