Tytin Daniels takes 2nd in state

Nine-year-old Tytin Daniels won 2nd place in the 8U Heavy Weight division at the 2026 OKWA 48th Annual State Championships on Saturday, Feb. 21. The tournaments took place throughout the day at the OG&E Coliseum in Oklahoma City.

Tytin is a third grader at Checotah Intermediate but wrestles with a team from Hilldale. Besides wrestling, Tytin also likes playing football, going to church with friends and spending time with his family.

Tytin is the son of Dakota and Lauren Daniels of Checotah, who are extremely proud of their son’s most recent accomplishment.
