Linda Lois (Corbell) Sullins

June 29, 1947 – April 1, 2026

Linda Lois Sullins passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the age of 78. She was born on Sunday, June 29, 1947, to Robert and Katharene (Murray) Corbell in Oklahoma City. Linda grew up in Porter, OK where she attended Porter Public Schools. Linda met the love of her life Tony Sullins and they were married February 24, 1968, at her Aunt Lois’ home in Muskogee, OK. They were married for 58 years.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Katharene and Robert Corbell; grandson Zachary Carson, sister Diana Anglin, sister Carolyn Sue Mote and brother Randy Chlouber. She is survived by her husband Tony Sullins of the home; 3 daughters and their husbands, Tonya and Seymour Tiger, Lisa and Todd Trickey and Becky and David Carter; grandchildren, Tony Tiger, Nathan Tiger, Maegan Williamson, Baylor Carter, Cash Carter, Austen Carter and Ashlyn Crawley (Carter); great grandchildren, Maren Tiger, Sienna Tiger, Saylor Gardner, Sunni Tiger, Barron Tiger and Benjamin Tiger; sisters Kathy Corbell and Bobbie Thead and a host of other family and friends.

Linda had many careers throughout the years, all in service to others. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Muskogee General Hospital and later moved to Council Hill on the Sullins family farm. Linda was a homemaker, hay raker, professional gate opener, local home daycare, babysitting as many as twelve kids at a time during the summer. She became certified as a home health aide and worked at a local home health agency. Linda also performed private duty care for many neighbors and friends. She attended Connors State College and was two classes short of her associate’s degree in childcare. Linda was a Headstart teacher at Midway Elementary School. Her latest and most favorite job was working at Charlie’s Chicken. She was known as “The Bully” at Charlies, a title which she loved. Linda worked there for 11 years, right up until her recent hospitalization. She loved interacting with people and loved her co-workers dearly. Linda had many hobbies, such as crocheting, quilting, sewing, gardening, reading, hunting, fishing, attending grandson’s basketball games and spending time with family, friends and loved helping with her grandchildren/great grandchildren. She was always sewing or crocheting something for someone and really enjoyed giving her handmade projects as gifts. Linda was an upbeat, positive and glass half full person. Linda had a strict work ethic, even on the days she was not feeling up to par, she would say she was “fantastic” and refused to call into work. Linda had many catch phrases that she was known for, such as, “oh cow”, “well duh”, “you’re not the boss of me” or “put your big girl panties on” just to name a few. Linda was proud to be a “Senior Citizen” but only for the discounts, but you still better not call her elderly because she didn’t see herself as being old, she was young at heart.

Services for Linda were held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at the Church of Christ in Checotah with Minister Paul Fletcher. Committal prayers and interment followed at Council Hill Cemetery under the personal direction of John Garrett. Serving as Casket Bearers were Todd Trickey, David Carter, Seymour Tiger, Baylor Carter, Tony Tiger and Nathan Tiger. Serving as Honorary Casket Bearers were Cash Carter, Ryan Pratt, Zachary Carson, Gene Jackson, Chester Anderson, David Newton, John Shanks and Wayne Smith.
