Don’t miss “Art in the Park’ on Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Veteran’s Park at 112 North Broadway next to the Checotah Chamber of Commerce and the Heartland Heritage Museum & Gallery.

This year the Checotah Art Guild is celebrating Mother’s Day! Pretty lighted floral arches will be set up so patrons can take their own photos with their families. Pretty gifts will be available for moms, grandmas, aunts and sisters… come by and look at all the unique gifts the CAG offers!

There will be art on display with many pieces for sale by local artists. These works of art from the heart will be outdoors (weather permitting) and also inside the Heartland Heritage Museum & Gallery that will be open to tour as well.

Beautiful, handcrafted cards by the CAG on Broadway artists will be available.

Hand-painted bud vases with live, fresh flowers will also be available to purchase just in time for Mother’s Day.

There will also be a book signing by local author Herb McCutchen who will be donating his books –one set per family.

Local vendors are invited to come be a part “Art in the Park.” 8×8 booths are available for $25. Call Kathy at 918908-0169 for more information on vendor spaces.
