2023 Disc Golf League forming

Would you like to learn a fun game, win prizes and make new friends? Then join the 2023 Disc Golf League that’s forming next month.

The 2023 Disc Golf League will begin August 17 at the Wetlands Disc Golf Course in Eufaula at 5:30 p.m.

The league will play each Thursday evening. Each disc golf member will play 12 league rounds and one 18-hole round per week.

When you complete at least 9 of the 12 league rounds, you will be eligible for prizes. If you cannot play all your rounds on Thursday evenings, other ways will be explained about how to your rounds in. Your handicap score will also determine your division.

We will be playing for “Bag Tags.” You have to be a member of Lake Eufaula Disc Golf Alliance to be in the “Bag Tag” competition. Membership costs $25 and you get a free disc. Rules and bag tags will be given to every player who joins the LEDGA. League cost is $25 one time for all 12 rounds or $20 for LEDGA members. Pay $5 extra to be in the Ace Pot.

The league also recommends that you get the UDisc app on your phone.

Prizes will be awarded a week after the last league night. There will be a time arranged for playoffs if needed in case of ties. Prizes will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place handicap players in each division and 1st place scratch.

There will also be a Women’s Division if there are enough women players.

If you have never played disc golf before, come on out and we will teach you how to play. It’s easy and tons of fun, plus you get some exercise by walking the course.

To sign up call Curtis Hartshorn at 918-6165967 or email your name and phone number to Curtis1960@gmail. com. You can also stop by Gentle Giant Home Solutions at 116 S. Main in Eufaula to sign up.
