DEATH NOTICES

HANNA – Susie Ann (Watson) Deo, 66, passed away on October 2nd, 2023. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 7 at the Weogufkee Baptist Church in Hanna.

EUFAULA – Larry Merl Hays, 84, passed away at his home in Eufaula, OK on October 4, 2023. A Family Conducted Memorial Service was held Saturday, October 7 at Vivian Baptist Church.

CHECOTAH – Irene Savannah Glass, 96, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. A memorial service was held October 9 at the Warner First Assembly of God.

EUFAULA – Carl Willis Morse, 95, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023. A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 21 at 11 a.m. at Vernon Cemetery, 14827 S. 305th E. Ave. in Coweta, OK.

EUFAULA – Kathryne Jonell Smith, 74, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023, in McAlester, OK. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, October 14 at Kelley Memorial Chapel in Eufaula.

WARNER – Thomas Wayne Symonds, 82, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023. Graveside services will be held in the summer on June 29, 2024, at Bear Butte Cemetery, 1040 Harley-Davidson Way, Sturgis, SD 57785 with a get-together to follow in Sundance, WY.

HANNA – DeeWayna “Dee” Gayle Moore, 46, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023. Funeral services were held October 13 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.

MUSKOGEE -Lawrence (L.B.) Ray Bowden, 90, a former resident of Boynton, peacefully passed away Monday, October 9, 2023, at his home in Muskogee, OK. Funeral services were held Friday, October 13 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee.

MUSKOGEE – Martha Elizabeth Mills, 76, passed away peacefully, with her loving family by her side, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Services for Martha were held on Friday, October 13 at the Mission Outreach Full Gospel Church in Checotah, OK.

CHECOTAH – Sandra Kaye Wright, 63, entered Heaven’s Gates on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Services celebrating the life of Sandra will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 19 at the Eastside First Baptist Church.

CHECOTAH – Alice Faye Pouncil, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October, 14, 2023. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24 at the First Free Will Baptist Church, Checotah. Burial to follow at the Fort Gibson National Cemtery at 2:30pm.
