DEATH NOTICES

PORUM – Ronald Dee Cotner, 77, passed away Monday, December 15, 2024 at Warner, OK. Funeral services were held Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel.

EUFAULA – Pamala Jean Campbell, 65, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at her home in Eufaula, OK. Services were held Thursday, January 18 at Kelley Memorial Chapel, Eufaula.

BAKERSFIELD, CA – Elbert Steve Owens Jr.,

71, formerly of Checotah, finished his journey on January 10, 2024. A graveside service was held Tuesday, January 23 at South Kern Cemetery District in Bakersfield, CA.

CHECOTAH – Tommy Harrison Alverson, 69, peacefully passed away January 11, 2024 in Muskogee, OK. A family-conducted service will be at 10AM, Friday, January 26, 2024 at Oktaha Gospel Church in Oktaha, OK.

WARNER – Jackson Lee Matthews, 73, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024. No services scheduled at this time.

CHECOTAH – Robert Gene Rainwater, 82, of Checotah, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, in Muskogee, OK. Services are pending.

EUFAULA – Clyde Ross Griggs, 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2024. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

CHECOTAH – Eileen Kay (Jones) Baughman, 70, passed away at her home in Checotah, OK, on January 13, 2024. Services were held Thursday, January 18 at Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel.

EUFAULA – Kenneth Lee Nixon, 33, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, in McAlester, Oklahoma. No services scheduled at this time.

EUFAULA – Thomas “Tom” Franklin Engle, 79, passed away on January 14, 2024, at the St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee, OK. Services will be held Thursday, January 25 at 2PM at Kelley Memorial Chapel in Eufaula.

EUFAULA – Aaron Richie McIntosh, 35, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the St. Francis Hospital of Muskogee. Services were held Friday, January 19 at Kelley Memorial Chapel in Eufaula.

OKMULGEE – Thompson Geebon Gouge, Jr.,

50, passed away January 17, 2024 in Tulsa, OK. Funeral services were held Monday, January 22 at the Muscogee Dome in Okmulgee.

MUSKOGEE – Tiffany M. Johnson, 40, passed away January 17, 2024 in St. Francis Health System in Muskogee, OK, surrounded by family. Services are pending.

EUFAULA – Kay Lynn Padgett, 55, passed away on January 17, 2024 at her home. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 26 at 10AM at Lindsey Chapel Baptist Church in Eufaula, OK.

MUSKOGEE – Amanda “Mandi” Marie Harms, 46, passed away January 18, 2024 in Muskogee, OK. A Celebration of Life was held January 24 at Lighthouse Christian Center in Eufaula.

KEOTA – Corene (Wood) Rouell went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2024. Graveside services will be held at 1PM, Thursday, January 25 at Old Cache Cemetery in Keota, OK.

CANADIAN – Margaret Adele Lawson, 60, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024, at her home in Canadian, OK. Services were held Wednesday, January 24 at Valley View Full Gospel Church in Ft. Gibson.
