DEATH NOTICES

MUSKOGEE- Evalene Ruth Haddock Lester,

92, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024. Funeral services were held Thursday, January 25 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel.

STIGLER – Patricia Hope Perkins, 54, passed away January 16, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3 at Checotah’s Greenlawn Cemetery, weather permitting.

EUFAULA – Tisha Ann Franklin, 50, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the St. Francis Hospital of Tulsa. Services were held Friday, January 26 at Weogufkee Baptist Church, Eufaula, OK.

MUSKOGEE – Ellis Phillip Couch, 82, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024. Memorial services planned for a later date.

KEOTA – Corene (Wood) Rouell, 88, went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2024. Graveside services were held Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Old Cache Cemetery in Keota, OK.

EDMOND – Maudie Juanita Thomas, formerly of Checotah, went to be with the Lord, on Monday, January 22, 2024 at the age of 100 Years and 5 months. Memorial services were held Saturday, January 27 at Serenity Chapel of Garrett Family Funeral Home in Checotah, OK.

HENRYETTA – Kenneth Ray Cook, 98, formerly of Onapa, passed away on January 23, 2024, in Henryetta, OK. At the request of Kenneth, no services will be held at this time.

HENRYETTA – Deborah Jean Woodard, 72, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2024, in Henryetta, OK. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 31 at Integrity Chapel.

OKTAHA – Geraldine Rose (Garner) Rhodes, 97, passed away on January 25, 2024. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 31 at Oktaha United Methodist Church.

CHECOTAH – Dorothy Marie Brown, 77, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024 in Muskogee, OK. Services will be held at 1p.m., Thursday, February 1 in Garrett’s Serenity Chapel, Checotah.
