WARNER – Connors State College is proud to announce the acceptance of 44 high-achieving applicants from 24 different high schools for its groundbreaking “Classroom to Clinicals” program. The program, set to commence in Fall 2024, will provide a unique opportunity for high school juniors to embark on a rewarding journey towards a nursing career.

The program has seen students go through a rigorous selection process, with the average unweighted GPA of accepted applicants standing impressively at 3.75.

The implementation of this program not only serves as another opportunity for students to work toward high-paying careers affordably, but it also signifies the college’s commitment to producing highly skilled healthcare professionals and addressing the nursing shortage in Northeast Oklahoma.

To be eligible for the program, applicants must hold an unweighted high school GPA greater than or equal to 3.0. Once accepted, students will enjoy the exceptional benefit of having their tuition waived during their junior and senior years of high school, paving the way for a seamless transition into higher education.

The Classroom to Clinicals students who maintain a 2.5 GPA, achieve a grade of C or better in all Connors State courses, and meet all other Connors State College Nursing admission requirements will be granted full admission into the nursing program. This strategic pathway ensures that students are not only academically prepared but also equipped with the practical skills required for success in the field.

Upon successful completion of the program and passing all board exams, participants will earn a series of valuable credentials, including a Pre-Nursing Certificate, Certified Nursing Assistant, Licensed Practical Nursing, Associate of Applied Science in Nursing, and the prestigious Registered Nurse designation.
