A new writers’ group meets every other Monday to read and receive feedback on their particular writing projects.
Tatum Honne, the librarian who facilitates the group, provides each participant with an educational packet that’s loaded with “how-to’s” for various types of writing.
You’ll find explicit instructions for plotting a short story, a mystery/ crime thriller, a romance, and even a detective noir plot.
A local published novelist and produced playwright, Lenore Bechtel — who attributes her writing success to help give her as a beginner in such a group — leads the critiquing.
She encourages all people to think about how something they write might enrich a family member, and she will enumerate several ways at the upcoming meeting.
