Death Notices

PORUM – Thomas Lee Brizendine, 81, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at his home. Funeral services were held March 28 at Porum Assembly of God Church.

CHECOTAH – Leo Lee Hicks, Jr., 57, passed from this life on April 13, 2024. A funeral service was held April 18, 20204 at the Weogufkee Indian Church in Hanna, OK.

ENTERPRISE – Wanda Kathryn Peters, 86, went home to be with the Lord on April 13, 2024 surrounded by family. Services were held April 17 at Jesus Name Pentecostal Church in Quinton, OK.

BEGGS – Lucas M. Deatherage, 1 year and 11 month old of Billy and Crystal Deatherage, passed away April 16, 2024 in Beggs, OK. Funeral services were held at Crossroads Baptist Church.

OKTAHA – Terry Eugene Newton, 56, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024. No services at this time.

CHECOTAH – Rodney Lee Campbell, 39, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. Services were held Tuesday, April 23 at First Baptist Church in Checotah, OK.

CHECOTAH – Terry Phillips, 65, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, at his home in Checotah, OK. A graveside service was held Wednesday, April 24 at the Triplett Cemetery.

SAN ANGELO, TX – Wanda Geraldine Weathersby, 95, formerly of Quinton, OK, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024. Services were held Thursday, April 25 at Featherston Baptist Church in Featherston, OK.

HASKELL – Beverly Jane (Dry) Mefford, 52, passed away on April 18, 2024. Services were held Tuesday, April 23 at Haskell United Pentecostal Church in Haskell, OK.

HENRYETTA – Jerry Dean McAfee, 76, passed away peacefully at on April 21, 2024. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 25 at Dewar First Baptist Church.
