Wildcats run to success at Gore XC Invitational

The Checotah Cross Country team had an excellent showing at the Gore XC Invitational meet. The Checotah Lady Wildcats placed 3rd overall with a time of 08:10.03 and the boys team placed 3rd overall with a time of 14:29.69.

Ruby and Ruthy Folkner placed in the Top 10 as Ruby placed 5th with a time of 07:31.40 and Ruthy placed 7th overall with a time of 07:33.17 as individuals.

Tahlequah Sequoyah placed first in the girls’ meet with a time of 07:15.38 and Heavener placed second with a time of 07:43.39. Abby Gourd of Tahlequah Sequoyah placed first as an individual with a time of 06:13.09.

Second place went to Francas Buurma FR 00:06:36.01 Sequoyah-Tahlequah High School and Jacey McGee FR 00:06:51.20 Sequoyah-Tahlequah High School placed third.

28 23 2200 Rachel Stauffer SR 00:08:16.58 Checotah High School 31 25 2196 Logan Dowdy SO 00:08:32.93 Checotah High School 39 28 2199 Alannah Madding FR 00:08:56.08 Checotah High School In the boys’ meet, Tahlequah Sequoyah placed first with a team time of 11:30.29 followed by Heaverner 12:11.16 and Checotah 14:29.69. Cy Hunt led Checotah with a time of 13:43.30 and placed 21.

Rylan Nofire of Tahlequah Sequoyah placed first with a time of 10:56.74 followed by Seth Lynch of Heavener 11:16.10 and Evan Nofire of Tahlequah Sequoyah placed third with a time of 11:29.77 to round out the top three.

Wes Brown 14:08.89 placed 27.

Izayah Tyde 14:31.45 placed 31.

Mason Rainbolt 14:31.45 placed 33.

Jaxon Gearhart 15:29.10 placed 52.

Caleb Elkins 15:29.16 placed 53.

Mitchell Tanner 17:20.64 placed 73.
