Wildcat cross country teams clean up at the Muldrow Invitational Meet

The Checotah Wildcats competed at a high level at the Muldrow Invitational Meet on Thursday. The Lady Wildcats finished fourth overall as a team. Keys won the event as a team with a time of 14:36.49 followed by Warner 14:56.21 and Heavener 15:15.55 to round out the top three.

Individual results

Molly Craver of Roland won the girls race with a time of 13:27.35, in second place was Allviah Strieker of Keys 13:49.91 and Kambree Ellis placed third with a time of 13:55.95.

Checotah’s Ruby Folkner placed fourth with a time of 14:21.72 followed by her sister Ruthy Folkner (8th) with a time of 14:33.99. Alannah Madding placed 27th (15:52.52), Rachel Stauffer 31st (16:10.92) and Logan Dowdy 33rd (16:13.28) completed the times for the Lady Wildcats.

Boys team division

Heavener placed first with a time of 19:41.71 followed by Warner 21:19.18 and Checotah placed third with a team time of 22:47.64.

Individual results

Seth Lynch of Heavener placed first with a time of 18:42.39 followed by Koulter Drake of Warner 18:43.47 and Jodai Sama Salinas placed third with a time of 18:58.30.

Izayah Tayde of Checotah placed 12th with a time of 20:48.34.

“I’m really proud of how we competed today. The entirety of our teams ran hard and it showed today. This was a big meet with a lot of great athletes and for us to come out and compete against these teams the way we did is something to be proud of,” Checotah head coach Jason Dowdy said.
