The No. 9 ranked Eufaula Lady Ironheads fell to the No. 1 ranked Lone Grove Longhorns 3-0 Thursday at Devon Park in OKC. As the team walked off the field several players hung their heads in defeat.

This team has no reason to hang their heads. Eufaula finished the season with a 30-5 record, plus they held Lone Grove to just three runs with two scores coming on errors. Lone Grove went on to win the State Championship.

This was a great season for the Eufaula team, fans and community. After all, this Eufaula team made school history again as the only team to go back-to-back in the state tournament. This team gave us a lot of special moments throughout the season and the future is bright with several underclassmen starting on this team.

Congratulations to the Softball program and their coaches for a job well done.
