DEATH NOTICES

CHECOTAH – Jeannice Ann Lockhart, 74, passed away on October 16, 2024 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. A Celebration of Life was held Friday, November 1 at McNeil’s Funeral Services in Mustang, OK.

CHECOTAH – Elizabeth “Beth” Ellen Frost, of Checotah, 72, entered her heavenly home Sunday, November 3, 2024. A memorial service was held Thursday, November 7, at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Checotah,OK.

PIERCE/CHECOTAH – Jerry Melton Creel, 86, entered the gates of heaven on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at his home in Pierce, OK. A church service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at Lighthouse Christian Center with a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Pierce Cemetery.

CHECOTAH – Verby Carl Hairod, 87, entered the gates of heaven, on Friday, November 8th, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Services are pending at this time.
