Eufaula once again has a wrestling program thanks to Jeremy and Tori Fry and Rico Garcia. The youth program is coached by Dave Hutchings of Henryetta. Hutchings has built a youth program and a high school program in Henryetta in the past and is excited to help Eufaula do the same.
“Our son along with Rico’s kids formally wrestled for the Checotah Matt cats. We wanted to build a youth program here for the other Eufaula kids. We practice Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Eufaula Indian Community Center. We have around 40 kids on our roster as of today. We want to bring another outlet to our community to give our kids more options in sports. We want the parents and kids to be involved in a sport that we have come to love. We want to give the same opportunity to other kids in our community. We hope to grow the program into the best youth wrestling program around and hope to bring wrestling back to the Eufaula schools,” Tori Fry said.
The Eufaula Wrestling Program is not associated with Eufaula Public Schools.
