McIntosh County GOP news
By LYNELLE MEDLEY CHAIRMAN

November’s meeting on the 21st was a smashing success with over 120 people present, lots of chili was eaten and the McIntosh GOP successfully launched the Freedom Brigades which is a non-partisan citizen led effort to keep local government accountable.

The Freedom Brigades have begun two initiatives to address the Turbine issue, if you wish to participate, please text 918-6176124 for more details.

Representative Neil Hays continues to voice his whole-hearted support and has been consistently making phone calls and seeking ways in which he can better assist the community in stopping the wind turbines.

Featured speakers Saundra Traywick of Lincoln County and John Spence of Craig County shared many insights which will be helpful moving forward.

Dawn Stacy had the citizens Initiative Petition on hand to collect more signatures and both Pittsburg and McIntosh County have maps available in which people can mark their properties in red as a pledge to not allow the wind turbines access to their land.

Derek Liles, another of our speakers, will be leading one of the most exciting Freedom Brigades initiatives which began last week.

All in all we are thankful to McIntosh County residents and look forward to a victory in the near future.

On Dec. 7 McIntosh GOP members will be at the SantaLand Bazaar that is held at the old armory in Eufaula. We will be drawing for our AR giveaway and this will be your last chance to get tickets — $5 per ticket or five tickets for only $20. You can also text the number above if you would like to meet up with someone to buy tickets.

Dec. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Eufaula VFW will be our Christmas party and you are invited, but to help us out, we need an RSVP text to 918-6176124 with your name and the number in your party. DOORS OPEN AT 6:15.

We are asking all to bring your favorite dish or finger food. We will provide drinks and we will have an ugly Christmas sweater contest as well as a few other fun family games. Space is limited so please RSVP now.

Please bring the family!
