Vian hands Checotah a 42-24 defeat in wrestling

The Checotah Wildcats came up short in their road dual at Vian’s B.J. Traw Gymnasium on Friday night. The Wolverines out scored the Wildcats 42-24.

“We gave it everything we had tonight. Vian has a good team and is well coached. They got a quick start winning four out of the first five matches. But I was happy with how we competed. We have a lot to work on. I do want to mention that Jaydon Casey remains undefeated so far this season,” Checotah head wrestling coach Brent Oleson said.
