DEATH NOTICES

EUFAULA – Robert John Furr, 71, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024 at his home in Eufaula, OK. Services are pending at this time.

EUFAULA – Maudine Smith Johnson, 89, passed from this life on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024 at Belfair of McAlester, Oklahoma. Funeral services were held Monday, December 30 at First Baptist Church, Eufaula.

HENRYETTA – Amy Michelle Farrow, 52, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024. Services pending.

EUFAULA – Atha Jean Flud, aged 91, peacefully passed away on December 21, 2024, at the Eufaula Manor Nursing Home. A memorial service was held Thursday, December 26 at Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory, Eufaula.

EUFAULA – Carl Anthony Venson, 63, passed away on December 21, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A funeral service celebrating Carl’s life was held Saturday, December 28 at the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.

CHECOTAH – Sandra Jean Haggard, 74, went to be with the Lord on December 21, 2024 within her loving home in Checotah, OK. A memorial was held Tuesday, December 31 at Hunn Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Checotah.

CHECOTAH – Terry Lee Guffee, 74, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 21, 2024. A Celebration of Terry’s life will be held at a later date.

CHECOTAH – Rebecca Dawn “Becky” Shelton, 51, beloved CIS Checotah teacher, passed away Friday, December 20, 2024. A Celebration of Life was held Friday, December 27 on First Baptist Church of Checotah.

CHECOTAH – Manyrd Clay, 89, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024. A memorial service was held Thursday, December 26 at Checotah Church of Christ.

CHECOTAH – Bane Earnest Whisenhunt, 98, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 19, 2024. A memorial service was held Saturday, December 28, at Checotah First Assembly of God.

MUSKOGEE – William Henry Brown Jr., 74, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024. No services have been scheduled at this time.

STIGLER – Robert Collin Prock, 39, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024. A memorial service was held Dec. 22 at Pineycreek Fellowship Church.

CHECOTAH – Carla DeAnn Highwood, 66, passed away at her home on Sunday, December 15, 2024. No services have been scheduled at this time.

QUINTON – Lorraine Souders, 96, passed away December 15, 2024. Services will be held at a later date.

CHECOTAH – Ronald Lee Henderson, 86, entered his heavenly home Friday, December 13, 2024. A memorial service was held Friday, December 20 in Serenity Chapel of Garrett Family Funeral Home, Checotah.
