County officials sworn in Dec. 31

There are two new faces among county officials sworn in this year, 2025, including newly elected District 2 County Commissioner Clifford McElhaney and newly appointed County Assessor Jennifer Ballard.

McElhaney defeated incumbent Monty Grider in the Nov. 5, 2024, general election.

Ballard was appointed by county commissioners to replace retiring County Assessor Trina Williams, who held the position for 16 years.

Others sworn in by Associate District Judge Brendon Bridges during the ceremony held at the main courtroom of the McIntosh County Courthouse were Court Clerk Lisa Rodebush, Sheriff Kevin Ledbetter and County Clerk Deena Farrow.
