Lucas Divino wins second PBR Unleash The Beast Event of 2025 in Houston, Texas, vaulting to No. 2 in the Heated World Championship Race

HOUSTON, Texas – Riding bulls better than any time in his career, Lucas Divino (Nova Crixas, Brazil) delivered a perfect 3-for-3 performance punctuated by a 90-point championshipround ride to win his second PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Unleash The Beast event of the season tonight at Michelob ULTRA PBR Houston, rising to No. 2 in the 2025 World Championship race.

Divino earned 133.5 points, surging from No. 5 to No. 2 in the gold buckle battle. He is now within 77.5 points of No. 1 John Crimber (Decatur, Texas).

“I just have to praise the Lord,” Divino said from the dirt inside Toyota Center moments after his win. “I was talking to my friends today. Seven years I’ve been competing here. God helped me seven years to put me in this spot. I don’t have the words to explain this.”

Divino, a standout from the 2024 Champion Austin Gamblers in the separate PBR Teams league who won the elite tour event two weeks ago at Madison Square Garden in New York City, first struck in Round 1 on Friday when he bested Mike’s Motive (Blake Sharp/High Voltage/ Wetzel/Knott) for 87.75 points.

The affable Brazilian continued to ride red hot in Round 2 Saturday night, punching his ticket to the championship round as he outlasted Magic Hunter (Martinez Bucking Bulls, LLC) for 89.75 points.

Divino then sealed his second Unleash The Beast victory of the season with a monster 90-point ride, teaming with Ricky Vaughn (WinRock/ D&H Cattle/Buck Cattle) for 90.25 points in the championship round.

Divino earned a check for $47,148.33 in addition to 133.5 Unleash The Beast points to move into the No. 2 position behind Crimber.

The Florida Freedom’s Crimber finished seventh inside Toyota Center, netting 30.5 Unleash The Beast points. He rode Mr. Right Now (Silent 7/Hilton Bull Co.) for 88 points in Round 1 and Gravedigger (Premier Livestock/Rafter KL) for 86.75 points in Round 2 but was bested by Yahoo (D&H Cattle Co./Buck Cattle Co.) in the final round, whipped down in 6.49 seconds.

Luciano De Castro (Guzolandia, Brazil) was second in Houston, netting 109.5 Unleash The Beast points.

Castro was one of 19 riders to convert in the opening round, topping Short Fire (Braun/ Bucking M/BS Cattle) for 86.75 points.

The Arizona Ridge Rider caught fire on championship Saturday, delivering back-toback monster scores. In Round 2, Castro rode Fire Zone (Martinez Bucking Bulls, LLC) for a commanding 90 points before dominating UTZ BesTex Smokestack (Blake Sharp/Chris Utz/Carey Brothers) for a mammoth 90.25 points in the final round.

Chasing his first World Championship this May, Castro rose from No. 17 to No. 8 in the standings, propelled within 227.5 points of No. 1 Crimber.

Third was the Texas Rattlers’ Brady Fielder (Clermont, Queensland, Australia).

Fresh off his win last weekend in Chicagoland, Fielder’s momentum continued to roll inside the home of the NBA’s Houston Rockets. Fieder advanced to the championship round courtesy of an 88.25-point ride on Lap Dancer (Flying S/Dozier Cattle Co.) in Round 1 and an 86.75-point effort aboard Hunting Trip (Universal Pro Rodeo/ Rachel & Dustin Powell/Delmas/Williams).

As the last rider to leave the chutes, Fielder capitalized on a re-ride opportunity in the championship round, completing his flawless 3-for-3 outing in Houston with an 89.75-point ride on Electric Kitty (Moore Cattle/D&H Cattle Co.).

Fielder earned 78 Unleash The Beast points for the bronze effort, remaining No. 3 in the world. He is now 94.5 points back of No. 1 Crimber.

Adriano Salgado (Batatais, Brazil) was fourth.

The Carolina Cowboys roster member secured the finish via an 85.75-point ride on Quick Show (Young Cattle Co.) in Round 1, 87.5 points atop Let’s Roll (Stoltzfus/Bob & Jerry Adams/BS Cattle Co.) in Round 2, and an 89.25-point ride aboard Lights Out (Blake Sharp/Henry Wilson) in the championship round.
