Collett punches ticket to State

Checotah senior Colt Collett punched his ticket to the state tournament in OKC. Checotah’s Colt Collett moved to 28-0 with a 23-5 win over Matthew Hunt of Comanche.

This will be the fourth consecutive year that Collett has made it to state where he has three state wrestling championships. Collett wrestled his way to winning the Regional Championship.

“I’m super proud of Colt. He continues to show that he is one of the best wrestlers in the state. He’s become a natural at this. Colt puts in the time and is dedicated to the sport and I’m just happy for him,” Checotah head coach Brett Oleson said.
