3rd annual Eufaula Chamber Women’s Luncheon a success
By SHAUNA BELYEU GENERAL MANAGER

It was a day of ladies, leadership and lots of giveaways at the Eufaula Chamber Women’s Luncheon at the VFW Post 8798 on Saturday, Feb. 22.

The Eufaula Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the third annual women’s leadership event, drawing a crowd of entrepreneurs, professionals and community leaders eager to connect and grow. The event celebrated the importance of gathering, em- phasizing its role in inspiring and empowering women.

“42.9% of businesses in Oklahoma are owned by women. We are a powerful force in our state. We have 79% in Eufaula, which is huge,” Kleveter said.

Business owners set up displays for participants to visit and shop before eating.

Tumbleweeds Steakhouse provided a delicious lunch and Nichols Market/Deli provided sweet and tasty desserts as ladies visited and networked.

Paige Holuby led a beautiful Moment of Silence honoring the loved ones we lost in 2024. A video tribute was created to display the names of the ladies who have passed this last year.

Businesses gave brief talks about their businesses including the ladies at the Eufaula Memorial Library who gave an insightful presentation on Innovations Shaping the Future Through APPS. They explained that there is an app for everything and the library can help you with them.

Keeping in the theme of women honoring women, Selina Jayne-Dornan made her annual tiara and plaque presentation to McIntosh County Clerk, Deena Farrow for her kindness, generosity and community spirit.

Part of the annual excitement was the gift giveaway. Business owner Kim Franklin and Sharpe’s Manager Crissy Hall presented and tossed door prizes to an eager crowd.

The event is not just about networking, it’s about sharing experiences and supporting other women. The chamber took this opportunity to introduce City Councilwoman Tisha Morgan and Beverly Ribauto, who is running for a council seat in the next election.

The highlight of the event was a keynote speech delivered by esteemed business leader and now city councilwoman Evelyn Gulley, whose journey from a small business owner to a widely respected entrepreneur served as an inspiration to all in attendance. Gulley spoke passionately about her family history in Eufaula, resilience in the face of adversity and the importance of mentorship in professional growth.

“We succeed not just through our own efforts, but through the support and guidance of those who have walked the path before us,” Gulley said.

“Events like this remind us that when women support women, there is no limit to what we can accomplish.”

The luncheon concluded with a spring fashion show.

Kenedee Rittenhouse, from KenRitt Beauty, led models who were showcasing styles from local businesses.

Businesses in attendance include: BB Boutique Sharpe’s Department Store Nicole’s Unique & Meme’s Place Beauty Bar34 Medspa Eufaula Memorial Library 2nd Chance’s Thrift Shop by UIR Elara Caring Ignite Health & Wellness “We are proud to bring together such an incredible group of women who are shaping the future of business and leadership in our community,” said Kleveter.

“With the future ahead, it’s the women who will continue to make a powerful impact. You can help by shopping local, supporting all businesses and supporting each other. Everyone can be involved in their local Chamber.”
