7th grader wins CMS Spelling Bee for second year

Kambria Miller, a 7th grader at Checotah Middle School, is the CMS Spelling Bee Champion and has now earned the right to spell at the 15th Annual 2025 Eastern Oklahoma Spelling Bee which will be held on Friday, April 25 in Muskogee.

The mission of the organization is to help students improve their vocabularies, learn new concepts and develop correct English usage.

Kambria was also the winner in 2024.

Kambria was the CMS finalist last year and went on to be a finalist last year in the Eastern Oklahoma Spelling Bee.

Eden Baldwin, a CMS 8th grade, was the runner up to Kambria.

The top spellers in each grade that participated this year were:

6th grade:
